The success and growth of a business relies on a good start and we at Menta know from experience how quickly can companies expand, employ more staff and help the prosperity of the region with the right support and advice in the early years. Our congratulations to all the business nominated and a particular mention to the shortlist.

The Trade Fair, on Tuesday 4th October will be held at The Apex, Charter Square in Bury St Edmunds and runs from noon until 6pm and is 600 visitors are expected to attend, for free. There will be over 100 exhibitors, numerous competitions to enter as well as a digital zone, goody bags, a Twitter wall and networking opportunities.
Rob Dellow, of Atkins Thomson Solicitors, sponsors of the exhibition said, “It is with the greatest of pleasure that Atkins Thomson will be sponsoring the 2016 Menta Trade Fair. This is the 8th consecutive year that we have sponsored the event and we are delighted to continue our support of this wonderful day.
“It’s a unique opportunity for innovators and entrepreneurs from this region to come together and celebrate their business, their passion, their work. I am constantly surprised and impress by what I see on the day, whether it’s a new business that perhaps I have previously never heard of or reconnecting with people I have met in previous years.”
Menta will be hosting Brunch Means Business from 11am at The Apex, on the day of the Trade Fair. The networking brunch is being supported by Invest in Suffolk, it’s free to attend but booking is essential. The keynote speaker is Robert Hughes of Hughes Electrical who will speak on ‘Profit – why all profit is not equal’
Alex Till, Menta’s chief executive, said: “Each year we listen to the feedback of both exhibitors and visitors to our Trade Fair and implement the improvements they suggest. More networking opportunities was one of these, hence the introduction of the brunch. We’re honoured to have such a knowledgeable businessman as Robert Hughes as speaker and grateful to Invest in Suffolk who are making this event possible.
“We’re pleased to be able to give the catering students of West Suffolk College the opportunity to create and serve our brunch. It’s a great opportunity for them to mix with business people in an exciting environment.”
The Trade Fair finishes with drinks, canapes and networking, celebrating the success of the exhibition and the launch of the Business Festival. Signpost2Grow will again host the event with Menta which is a great way to meet people in a more relaxed setting.
Menta has further events planned during the Business Festival including a free seminar titled ‘Let’s Talk People’ on Tuesday 11th October which aims to inspire and inform businesses ambitious to grow looking at the options available including employing staff, apprentices, using contractors and how to find the right people and maintain their loyalty.
